Inspired by a Teaching Career
My journey began with a fulfilling teaching career in Livonia, Michigan. Witnessing the need for greater cultural understanding and respect, particularly within Black families, ignited a passion to create positive change. This desire to uplift and empower led to the birth of Mahogany Youth Awareness Academy.
Knowledge is Key
At Mahogany Youth Awareness Academy, we believe that knowledge is key to fostering peaceful situations and mutual respect. Our books are designed to provide children with the tools they need to understand and appreciate diverse cultures, promoting empathy and inclusivity.
